HEADLINE: Sunny spells and scattered showers, fading this evening. While some good sunny spells will occur today, scattered showers will occur too, some heavy. It will remain driest across Ulster and North Leinster. Overall dry this evening with hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees, mildest away from southern and eastern areas, all in mostly moderate southeast winds.

Tonight

Damp, drizzly, locally wet weather, will gradually move westwards across Leinster, the Midlands and the Southeast overnight. Drier but cooler elsewhere under clearer skies. Some mist patches too. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees in light variable breezes.

Tomorrow

Thursday will bring outbreaks of thundery rain to Munster and south Leinster with spot flooding, especially in the South Midland and the Southeast. Highest temperatures in these areas will range a cool 9 to 13 degrees, in light variable breezes. Drier elsewhere with a mix of cloud and warm spells of hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, in moderate to fresh northeasterly winds. Some rain and drizzle will gradually edge northwards later in the day, however much of Ulster will stay fully dry for daylight hours; warmest here too.
