Tonight

Scattered showers moving north at first tonight, some of them heavy. More persisent rain will develop in the south overnight and will spread northwards, turning heavy at times with a chance of thunder and spot flooding. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees, coolest in the northwest, in mostly light variable breezes, but becoming breezy in southeastern and eastern coastal parts in a strengthening southeast wind.

Tomorrow

Further spells of rain on Tuesday morning, generally clearing northwestwards in the early afternoon with bright or sunny spells and showers following for the rest of the day. Some of the showers will be heavy, with thunderstorms and hail likely, particularly across parts of the midlands and west. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate southerly or variable winds, strong at times in the north and east before easing later in the afternoon.
